I noticed that some compounds have IDs starting with “mp-” while others starting with “mvc-”. Does anyone know the reason for the difference in ID names?
Thank you!
Eric

Dear Eric,
The id prefix is the project name. “mp-” stands for materials project; “mvc-” refers to multivalent cathode project. They are all produced use the same workflow and computational standard, hence, there are essentially very similar.
The small differences are: most of the “mvc-” compounds do not have the band structures, and there are no ICSDs bonded with them.

Miao
Thank you, Miao!
